Grand Junction

Over Easter weekend I went with Mom & Dad down to Grand Junction. We had a lot of fun just exploring the city, seeing the sites, and doing some shopping. The first day we went to the Botanical Gardens and the Butterfly House.

It was kinda cool but I would suggest waiting to go to the gardens later in the spring/summer when more things are alive and blooming. The next day we went to the Museum of Western Colorado where we rode in a stagecoach, flew a small airplane, walked through a mine, talked on an old fashioned telephone, and hike up what felt like a billion stairs to the top of a tower to see the valley. (Okay so maybe not a billion stairs but my calves felt like it should have been that many the next morning!)

Next we went RV shopping for Mom and Dad. We didn't find much that they were impressed with but I found me some really cute small trailers that would be perfect for me and not that expensive either. Hmmm..... That afternoon we went out to Colorado National Monument and saw the sights there. It was beautiful!

On Sunday morning we headed home and stopped in Aldridge to have a cookout with Brandon, Marie, and the kids & Wes and Corinne for Laine's birthday. Overall it was a fun weekend and it was great to spend time with the family.
